一則很棒的廣告影片-India vs. India

其實上次那篇原本就想一併介紹的 不過因為找不到中文翻譯所以花了點時間
感謝 Purple Dreamer 的版主協助翻譯(其實有點程度的都是她翻的 想必大家都知道我英文很爛)
先簡單介紹一下

這支在8月份的動腦雜誌有簡略提到的廣告

2008的坎城廣告獎中奪下直效行銷全場大獎和整合行銷金獅獎的 是孟買JWT的Lead India

對這個東西老實說 我也不熟

不過這一連串的東西最早的起源其實是印度時報委託的獨立60年應景廣告

而後來廣告公司拿了一張文字想法給總編輯看 總編輯就說 不需要其他idea了 這就是我們要的

接著這篇文字被寶萊塢(簡單來說就是印度的好萊塢 非筆誤)一個老牌影星看到 深受感動

願意無償演出並由其製片公司免費拍攝 也就是今天介紹的影片 India vs. India

India vs. India
There are two Indias in this country.
這個國家裡有兩個印度
One India is straining at the leash
eager to spring forth and live up to all the
adjectives that the would has been recently showering upon us
一個印度為了近期落在我們頭上的一些形容詞 嘗試超越這些形容詞帶給我們許多控制的壓力
the other India IS the leash.
而另一個印度就是那控制的壓力
One India says give me a chance and I’ll prove myself,
其中一個印度說 給我一個機會 我將證明我自己
The other India says prove yourself first and maybe then
另一個印度說 先證明你自己 也許之後
you’ll have a chance.
你將擁有一個機會
One India lives in the optimism of our hearts,
一個印度就在我們積極樂觀的心中
the other India lurks
另一個潛伏著
in the skepticism of our minds.
One India wants,
一個印度說 我要
the other India hopes.
另一個說 我希望
One India leads,
一個印度 領導著
the other India follows.
另一個 跟隨著
And quietly… while the world is not looking
當一切都靜悄悄時… 世界都還沒看到
a pulsating, dynamic, new India is emerging.
一個躍動中的 動態的 新的印度正在整合中
An India that no longer boycotts foreign-made goods
一個不在聯合抵制進口品的印度
but buys out the companies that make them instead.
而是買下生產這寫產品的公司
History, they say, is a bad motorist
有人說 歷史 就像個不良駕駛
It rarely ever signals its intentions
when it’s taking a turn,
當他意圖轉彎時(發生轉變之時) 很少發出任何訊號
THIS is that rarely-ever moment.
現在正是轉變之時
History is turning a page.
歷史正翻開下一頁
For over half a century
在超過半個世紀
our nation has sprung
我們的國家曾經躍起
stumbled, run, fallen,
跌倒 向前衝 跌倒
rolled over, got up and dusted herself
翻轉 爬起並弄得自己滿身塵土
and cantered, sometimes lurched on.
慢步向前跑 有時徘徊再困境中
But now…

in our 60th year as a free nation,
在我們作為一個自由的國家60週年
the ride has brought us
to the edge of time’s great precipice.
歷史將我們帶到了時間的巨大懸崖邊
And one India-a tiny little voice at the back of the head-
而其中一個印度-背後一個微弱的聲音-
is looking down at the bottom of the ravine
看的山谷的深處
and hesitating
並猶豫著
The other India is looking up at the sky and saying,
另一個印度仰望著天空並說
it’s time to fly.
展翅翱翔的時機已經到了
